I think that this quote means its up to an individual to create their own personality. Parents can only tell you whats right or wrong. They can show you a way of a good personality. but you have to actually choose what characteristics of a personality that you can be yourself by any environment or society. So basically this quote is saying that parents give the help and its up to the person to take it and form things with it. Like my pastor says, "you can lead a horse to the pond, but you can't make him drink it." thats the analogy with parents and kids.  -Chastadee Dortch

Reading & Excercise

Reading is to the mind as excercise is to the body.



  This analogy is saying that when you read, you began to learn more words and process imaginations.  Its saying that Reading helps the mind to grow and to expand.  Exercise is helping the body to become more healthier and to help it get in a pleasurable size.  Many people these days want a "curvy" figure.  so this is what this means.
